The Gallaudet University President Protests
On May 1, at 2:30 p.m., the Board of Trustees chair, Celia May Baldwin, introduced the 9th president of Gallaudet University, Dr. Jane K. Fernandes. The Most students and Staff/Faualty do not agree with this which started to protest againt Jane Fernandes. The Crisis at California School for the Deaf at Riverside

Dr. Rachel Stone, CSDR's first-ever deaf superintendent, was terminated July 27, 2001 under questionable circumstances. Intense turmoil dividing the CSDR community led to Stone's ouster. Five parents created the organization, "Deaf Children First" as an attempt to get Stone back on board. In advocating CSDR's cause the National Association of the Deaf sent a letter to Dr. Ronald Kadish, Director of California Special Schools and Services Division. The Gallaudet University Murders

The Safari Media Investment Scheme

More than a hundred Deaf investors, along with a number that are hearing, collectively invested millions of dollars in Safari Media. Dreams of wealth turned sour to the point where Arizona State legal enforcement agencies intervened after complaints about Thuc Nguyen and Mare and Mark Chisholms. Nguyen and the Chisholms eventually turned to battling against each other leaving investors in the dark about their long anticipated financial returns.
